Throw in some Italian chic and flare for art and I ended up shooting a fabulous Wedding that was magnificent and very detailed in both the ceremony and the elements that make up the perfect day.

I called in the help of a couple of buddies to enjoy the shoot as there is always something happening, my thanks to Mike Hetherington a regular with me these days and our great buddy Stewart Randall. They both covered my back and provide endless sources of jokes and angles for us to shoot. They also consumed their weight in the finest Indian food from Indigo.

To Anju and Anil I thank them for being great fun, choosing a fab venue and having a great set of families who looked after us at every part of the day.

My theme of picking 12 shots(it’s an Asian Wedding 14) to sum up the Wedding continues, I wanted to convey a sense of being there and the intimacy of the day for the couple. I hope you enjoy the post and I cannot wait for the couple to see the images when they return from Honeymoon.

The heat and humidity brought with it weather that was quite unique and offered challenges which helped me spontaneously react to get some really fun and arty images which perhaps would not have happened otherwise.

My thanks to Mike Hetherington who accompanied me and continued to challenge my keenness to always find new angles and views.

Greatest thanks to the bride and Groom Richard and Sarah, whose hospitality was faultless and whose ‘go do’ attitude made the day run smoothly. I have always believed that in Italy all we need is a wall to take some of my favourite pictures and again then venue did not let me down. That is not to say we do not have great walls in other countries including England, but I like them to be really close to hand and plentiful. The couple got a lovely passeggiata (the art of walking) through the confetti, lazy walks by the pool a magnificent location and the food was incredible as ever.

My collection of images from Italy reflect both the area which I know is important to the family, the venue and the people who were able to get there and make the day so special. I hope you enjoy the collection.

Shendish Manor hosted a brilliant couple this weekend, Jagruti and Satinder planned a wonderful day for their guest starting with a traditional Hindu Ceremony and ending with outfits to compliment this great venue and it’s features.
The images we captured remain timeless, from Sworded Persian Prince’s pausing for breath at lost ruins with their bride, to  the Library where we find a Soprano style of presentation.

I had a great day, I have my good friend Mike Hetherington to thank for keeping me going and challenging me to find new ideas and angles all day. As usual I sum up the day in 12 shots, in keeping with my plans for this year. I also have started to include significant suppliers that impressed me during the day.

There are many moments during the day which I have not included, but my choice of 12 include my fondest memories and favourite moments that just happened naturally. I hope you enjoy them and thanks to you guys, Jagruti and Satinder you were awesome.

The day was made perfect by the Bride and Groom, but the suppliers i worked with were also part of the extended team.

Northbrook Park is a really nice Venue with lots of places to shoot, the weather held and whilst it was a long day where the groom got to marry his bride twice (from the speech). I got to indulge my passion with a brilliant couple who loved photos and each other so visibly.

I thank my good friend David Longbottom who came along for entertainment and support as ever. David had hoped the fountains would catch me unawares and I would take a trip into the river as on a previous occasion, alas I held it together

I continue with my theme this year of a ‘Wedding in 12 shots’ and hope this gives you a flavour of the day and a few little gems. To N & S I thank you it was a lovely day and of course the food was top notch.

In the UK, lord alone knows what would have happened taking pictures in a public place and of a building or two !!!

This is the beautiful attitude of the Italian people that no bride should ignore these days. The strength of the Euro in 2010 has definitely seen an adjustment to how many brides are going to Europe to get married, cost being a major factor, but also the complexities of getting married abroad often means a planner of some description is needed, so where do you start.

This year I met My Weddings & More , in particular Bonnie who was a breath of fresh air. Not only do they offer you a full planning service, but also will provide the paperwork only exercise for the DIY bride who has already found all the items that make up the Wedding Day. Look them up and give them a buzz if you are thinking of a wedding in Italy. They can advise on all areas from a full service to simply ensuring the paperwork arrives on time.

Italy done properly

The Wedding season is in full swing now with another amazing Wedding in Italy, in the village of Frascati  looking across Rome. The venue Villa Grazioli is 500 years old and renovations continue to restore this beauty back to timeless perfection.

The venue was wonderful, the food a delight, the wine from the region and the Banqueting staff some of the best in Italy. Even though I was not local, I was treated as a regular supplier and overwhelmed by their consideration and professionalism. The good news is 6/7 brides get married there from the UK each year so I hope to return soon. It helped speaking Italian.

The Wedding guests were just a delight to be around and after a Lifestyle shoot in Rome, the Wedding Day was in full swing with some of Rome’s best weather this year. Regardless of location or venue the same always applies, find the art and the love of the place and combine it with an imagination of timeless moments, captured forever.

So here are the collection of images where I continue my theme of ‘A Wedding in 12 shots ‘ and I cannot wait for the couple to return from Honeymoon to run through the images and in particular my favourite moments.

The famous Q of Queensberry

Its quite beautiful and something I rarely get to shoot because the items I generally see are the table settings !! Anyhow sending out the invites, letters of thanks, cards and of course table settings have become something to treasure in recent years. I also decided to ask the Bride & Groom what font they have chosen, an idea for the Wedding album later I guess.

Here are a few samples i grabbed with my favourite new snappy camera, all designs are by Laura Ritchie and I was quite taken with a few items especially the stunning glass placement arrangement below.

This year I decided as well as offering up more learning via the blog I will also sum up a Wedding in 12 shots (most of the time), here are the moments for you guys, I enjoyed every moment and I hope these shots reflect just a few of the many things we captured and experienced.
