It’s my birthday, 18th February and the competition has ended.

I want to say thank you to my mum for putting up with me and bringing me into the world. Our child hood was spent surrounded by cameras and pictures, all amateur but I am sure it was the foundations of my view of the world through a lens.

After a great flurry of activity a clear winner ended up coming through with over 25% of the votes. All of the images served as great memories to me and the time I spent with you all. Congratulations to Donna & Peter who not only won the competition but also captured the spirit of the fun I had posting the images and getting the feedback for everyone associated with their Wedding.

The story of the image for those who did not get to the comments was Donna’s dad, part way through the ceremony looked down at his sleeve only to realise that the suit he had purchased back home, that had flown to Switzerland still had the decorative price tag hanging form the suit cuff for all to see.

Donna could not resist the giggles started and I was lucky enough to be there to capture a stolen moment of life. It means more than this to most as sadly Donna’s father passed away in recent times. I am thankful for having met him and really glad I was able to meet him.

Well done guys you sure did rally a team of votes…. I look forward to presenting you with your framed image.
